About Amaanatouna

Amaanatouna is a digital publishing house based in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates. It publishes interactive audio ebooks that introduce young children to the Names of Allah , in words they can hold.

Behind Amaanatouna is Barbara Picot, the author of the collection. Born on Réunion Island and searching for truth since her teens, she embraced Islam in 2012 and has never stopped studying since. The birth of her son gave birth to these books: before letters and before numbers, it seemed obvious to her that a child should first know the One who created him.

What we publish

The collection « The Names of Allah explained to Abel » is written for children aged 3 to 5. Each volume exists in three separate editions, French, English and Arabic: one book, one language, never mixed. Every page reads itself aloud, and each volume ends with a contemplative activity to share as a family. The texts are proofread and approved by Anwar El’kechaou, and by الشيخ أنور الكشو (Sheikh Anwar El’kechaou) for the Arabic edition.
