Terms of sale
Last updated: 9 September 2026
Article 1. Purpose and scope
These terms of sale (the “Terms”) govern every order placed on amaanatouna.com (the “Site”) by a buyer acting as a consumer (the “Customer”). Placing an order implies full acceptance of the Terms in force on the day of the order. The Terms are available in French, English and Arabic; in case of discrepancy, the French version prevails.
Article 2. Identity of the seller
The Site is published and operated by Amaanatouna, a company established at Sharjah Media City (Shams), Sharjah, United Arab Emirates, commercial licence no. 2539813.01, VAT registration number (TRN) 105266790200001 (the “Seller”). Contact: amaanatouna@gmail.com.
Article 3. Products
The Site sells interactive audio ebooks for children (the “Ebooks”), in EPUB format with built-in audio narration. Each Ebook is a separate work in a single language; the French, English and Arabic editions of the same volume are different products. The essential characteristics of each Ebook (language, age range, format, compatibility) are shown on its product page. Before ordering, the Customer checks that their device and reading app support EPUB with audio; the Seller lists the recommended apps on each product page.
Article 4. Prices
Prices are shown in the currency selected on the Site, inclusive of all taxes. For Customers residing in the United Arab Emirates, the price includes UAE value added tax at the rate of 5%. For other countries, the applicable tax depends on the Customer’s country of residence and is included in the displayed price. An invoice is made available to the Customer by email or in the customer account. The Seller may change its prices at any time; the applicable price is the one displayed when the order is confirmed. Any conversion or payment fees charged by the Customer’s bank are outside the Seller’s control.
Article 5. Ordering
The Customer selects the Ebook and edition, checks the basket, fills in the requested information, accepts the Terms, consents to the immediate supply of the digital content (Article 8) and confirms payment. A confirmation email summarising the order is sent to the Customer. The Seller may refuse or cancel an order in case of a previous dispute, payment failure or suspected fraud.
Article 6. Payment
Full payment is due when the order is placed, by card or any other method offered at checkout, through a secure payment provider (Stripe, or PayPal where offered). Payment data is processed by that provider; the Seller has no access to it and does not store it.
Article 7. Delivery of the digital content
As soon as payment is confirmed, the Customer receives a download link by email, and the Ebook is made available in the customer account, under “Downloads”. The link and access remain available without time limit, up to three downloads. In case of difficulty, the Seller sends the file again upon request to amaanatouna@gmail.com. Supply is deemed completed once the file is made available.
Article 8. Right of withdrawal
Under the rules applicable to consumers in the European Union and the United Kingdom, the Customer in principle has fourteen days to withdraw. However, as the product is digital content not supplied on a tangible medium, the Customer acknowledges, by ticking the box provided at checkout, that they expressly request immediate supply of the content and thereby lose their right of withdrawal as soon as the download or the provision begins. Without this consent, the content is supplied only after the withdrawal period has expired.
Article 9. Conformity and faulty files
The Seller warrants that the Ebook conforms to its description. If the file cannot be opened or is defective, the Customer reports it to amaanatouna@gmail.com, describing the problem and the device used; the Seller provides a corrected file or installation help, and refunds the Customer if the defect cannot be fixed within a reasonable time. Consumers in the European Union also benefit from the legal guarantees of conformity for digital content provided by their national law.
Article 10. Licence of use
Buying an Ebook grants the Customer a personal, non-exclusive and non-transferable licence to use it for private and family purposes, on the devices of their household. Without the Seller’s written permission, the following are prohibited: reproduction, distribution, sharing, resale, public lending, modification, extraction of the audio or illustrations, and any collective or commercial use.
Article 11. Intellectual property
The texts, narrations, illustrations, covers, trademarks and graphic elements of the Site and the Ebooks are protected by copyright and trademark law and remain the exclusive property of the Seller or its rights holders.
Article 12. Liability
The Seller is not liable for the incompatibility of a device or of an app it does not recommend, for incorrect handling, or for a temporary interruption of the Site beyond its control. In any event, its liability is limited to the amount of the order concerned.
Article 13. Personal data
The Customer’s data is processed in accordance with the Site’s privacy policy, available from the footer.
Article 14. Customer service and complaints
Any question or complaint is to be sent to amaanatouna@gmail.com. The Seller replies within three working days.
Article 15. Governing law and disputes
The Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates. Any dispute falls under the jurisdiction of the competent courts of the Emirate of Sharjah, without prejudice to the mandatory consumer protection rules of the Customer’s country of residence, which remain applicable. The parties seek an amicable solution before any legal action.
